We are reinstating sermon time classes for our preschool and elementary children at Redeemer beginning Sunday, September 20. Classes will be held outdoors, social distancing (between non-family members) will be maintained, and masks will be required for all participants age 6 and up. We will offer two classes during the 10AM service: Preschool/Kindergarten and 1st-5th grade.
When you retrieve your family's nametags, please sign in your children if they will be participating. Sign-In sheets will be at the nametag table. Students will remain with their parents until the sermon time begins. They will receive a temperature check (forehead scan) and be escorted through Packard Hall and out into the courtyard area beyond, as long as their temperature reading is below 100.4. At the conclusion of the sermon, children will be escorted back to the grass area to rejoin their families.
Please do not send your children to class if they have been exposed to anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days or if they themselves show any symptoms of illness, including but not limited to a runny nose, cough, congestion, difficulty breathing, a newly decreased sense of taste or smell, elevated temperature, lack of energy, headache, watery eyes, diarrhea, and/or nausea.
Preschool/Kindergarten: We will be using the Teach Me To Worship curriculum to learn about our worship rhythms at Redeemer. Participants (typically ages 3-6) must be able to stay in their assigned seating area (on a carpet square) and be potty trained, or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
1st-5th Grades: We will be using the New City Catechism to memorize truths about God, his Word, his deeds, and his people.
