Redeemer intentionally and financially partners with local, regional, and global organizations and individuals for the sake of the gospel. We have been blessed and we desire to be a blessing to others.
Every year we review our local and regional partnerships and every three years we review our global partnerships. 2021 is the beginning of a new three year period and so we want to update you on our new, continuing, and concluding partnerships.
First, we are very excited to continue our partnership with Rev. Jason Polk and Ethiopia ACT for another three year commitment! Jason and the team at Ethiopia ACT have done and are continuing to do amazing work on both the church planting and medical mission fronts in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Second, at the end of 2020, our three year commitment with Redeemer City to City and Grace Harbor Church in Tokyo, Japan concluded. Redeemer City to City made the decision to wrap up their funding with Grace Harbor Church as that church is becoming more financially self-sufficient. We have been grateful for our partnership with Grace Harbor Church, and her pastor Seima Aoyagi, over the years and pray for them to continue to love and serve the people and city of Tokyo well.
Third, we are pleased to increase and expand our partnership with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at UCI, International & Global! We are continuing to love and support Rev. Derek Rishmawy, the Campus Minister at UCI, and in 2021 we are increasing our support of Hailey Kim, RUF UCI staff member, and the ministry of RUF International & Global led by our own Rev. Lastly, we desire to actively love and serve our local neighbors here in Orange County! Please review the list of local organizations that we promote and find ways to support them with your time and/or finances.
GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
REV. JASON POLK & ETHIOPIA ACT
Jason Polk, an ordained PCA minister, together with his wife Liz and their three children, is the family that we directly support, as he oversees the spiritual care for Ethiopia ACT and its work to grow a gospel-centered church planting movement among the poor communities of Addis Ababa. Ethiopia ACT is an organization in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that works to reconcile people to God through Jesus Christ, and to reconcile them to themselves, others and creation—all resulting in the planting, growing and maturing of churches that in turn transform lives and communities through faithful witnesses to the Gospel. They began as a ministry to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on extremely poor families, but have grown to include other public health strategies that serve the wider community, as well as educational and psychological support for vulnerable children. Church planting and renewal is central to all their activities and a primary goal for their team.

RUF International is a ministry to foreign students on US college campuses.
God is at work and has brought more foreign students to college campuses in the United States than to any other nation. We respond to God’s work and obey God’s Word by welcoming students from all nations and equipping kingdom ambassadors for Christ’s worldwide church. RUF International seeks to reflect God's grace to an international audience. Since God welcomed us when we were foreigners to Christ's kingdom, we share hospitable deeds and gospel words in His Name with internationals.

RUF Global is a ministry that is reaching and equipping college students on international campuses.
RUF Global works cooperatively with several global mission agencies around the world in hopes of building the Church and expanding the Kingdom abroad. Currently there are 4 RUF Global Campus Ministers serving in Colombia, Mexico, Ukraine and the Czech Republic with opportunities to expand to other countries in the future.
Ministry abroad entails Campus Ministers meeting with students one-on-one, small group Bible studies, hospitality and large group events…all within the context of a team.

RUF is the university ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America. However, RUF is more than just a ministry on the university campus, RUF seeks to be a ministry for the university. They strive to serve in this unique stage of a student’s life in the world they live in, exploring together how the Lordship of Christ informs every area of life.
RUF at UC Irvine gatherings for a Large Group on Wednesdays at 6:00PM, in Small Groups through the week, retreats several times throughout the year, plus a lot of hanging out and eating food. (Gatherings might be different during COVID. Please email Derek and/or Hailey for more details.)
