Children's Palm Processional

We are excited to announce that this Sunday, March 28th we are going to try something new and have a Children's Palm Processional during our Palm Sunday Worship Service! Children in elementary school and younger are encouraged to take part in the fun of waving palm branches as they process in a loop prior to our Gospel reading and the sermon.

Here are the details that you need to know if you want your kids to participate:

  • At 9:40AM, directly before our worship service, we will have a craft table out for your kids to make their custom paper palm branches. Amanda Knox, our Children's Ministry Director, will have all supplies and instructions ready for our children.

  • Our youth are encouraged to come early and help our kids with the crafts.

  • If you have real palm branches at your home please cut and bring them to church. Our kids can wave both real and custom palm branches.

  • During the announcements in the service, our children will be instructed to head back to the Welcome Table area with their palm branches. After the Old Testament & Epistle readings, and prior to our Gospel reading and sermon, our children will proceed in a loop through the crowd and across the lawn, during the song "Hosanna, Loud Hosanna." After the Gospel reading they will be dismissed for their Sermon Time classes.
