As the end of the year approaches, we have three special giving opportunities for you to consider:
1. Building Fund: All contributions in excess of our annual expenses will be allocated to our new building fund. Please be generous in December to allow us to make budget and continue to grow our building fund.
2. Housing Assistance for Pastor Hahne: Transitioning to the California housing market is difficult and our pastoral search committee and elders desire to help the Hahne family as they seek to purchase a home. This is a unique and limited giving opportunity and we recognize that it is not equally applicable to all of our members. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, speak with our treasurer Andrew Evans (661-755-2390/andrewmadisonevans@gmail.com) or elder Cameron Moore (805-657-7356/camerondavidmoore@gmail.com). Checks can simply be designated “Pastor Housing.”
3. Sabbatical Assistance for Pastor Feichtmann: As a way of encouraging longevity, growth, and continuing education (this is not for ministers who are transitioning away from Redeemer but instead for those who continue to serve the Church’s future) our policy is to encourage our full time ministers to take a three month sabbatical every seventh year of service. The session has approved Pastor Feichtmann to take a sabbatical over summer 2020. A portion of the necessary funding will be provided by the church but there is still a $5,000 shortfall. If you would like to contribute to this unique end of year opportunity designate checks “Sabbatical."
