We are overjoyed to resume our in-person worship starting Sunday, June 21st!
Per the guidelines released by the CDC and California, we believe we are ready to gather in a way that honors the Lord, serves our church well, and loves our neighbor.
Live online streaming will also be available for any of you who are not yet ready to return to public gatherings. If you choose to worship online, one of our ministers would be happy to bring the Lord’s Supper to your home. Simply email Josh to set it up.
PREPARING FOR WORSHIP
The Week before Worship:
Register online by families for either the 9am or the 11am worship service. The registration link will be live on the Redeemer website on Monday, June 15th.
Note: Each service will also have six spots for tailgating (park near the lawn and participate in worship fully without leaving your car).
The Morning of Worship:
Wellness Check: We encourage you to self-screen at home for temperature and COVID-19 symptoms using CDC guidelines. Temperature checks will also be offered at our Medical Tent.
Don’t forget to bring outdoor seating, blankets, sunscreen, hat, etc.
SPECIFICS FOR THE WORSHIP SERVICE
Description: Worship will be held on the grassy lawn adjacent to the Temple Chapel with participation limited to 100 people per service. You are encouraged to use the main parking lot in the front of the Temple first and then our usual parking lot around the back for overflow parking. Participants will sit at designated locations maintaining social distancing. Each location will have three bulletins and a prepackaged communion bag containing a small mason jar of wine, individual bread roll, and our usual communion cups. Gluten free bread, grape juice, children’s bulletins and additional programs are available at the Medical Tent. It will be necessary for families to bring their own blankets or folding chairs to sit on.
The service will not include an offertory, physical passing of the peace—handshakes, hugs, etc., or after service refreshments. At this time, children’s ministry is limited to children’s bulletins, a recorded children’s lesson from our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Amanda Knox, that will be available anytime on Sunday, and a mid-week children’s Zoom class starting Wednesday, June 24th. Parents, please help us by keeping your children under your care and supervision.
Safety Precautions: Per governmental guidelines we encourage the following precautions to minimize risk:
Social Distancing
Use of masks
Handwashing and regular cleaning with skin disinfectant, which is also provided at our Medical Tent.
Temperature Screening and/or symptom checks using CDC guidelines, will also be provided at our Medical Tent.
