KidWorks is located just 10 minutes from South Coast Plaza, in some of Orange County's toughest neighborhoods. KidWorks believes that every child should have the opportunity to discover and achieve their God-given potential, regardless of the neighborhood in which they grow up. Over 1,000 children, youth and parents are served weekly at Kidworks' four centers. By providing academic enrichment, tutoring, spiritual and leadership programs that place 100% of our students on a path towards college, KidWorks is developing leaders who make a difference in their community.
While COVID-19 has been devastating for all of us, this pandemic has magnified the disparities that exist for the community that KidWorks serves in Central Santa Ana. Many, who already live paycheck to paycheck, have lost jobs. Basic necessities like paying rent and providing food and toiletries for their families have become an overwhelming stressor and students are feeling the additional pressure, but KidWorks continues to be a vital source of information and support for our community.
KidWorks continues to serve on the frontlines providing guidance and resources to the families in their programs during times of uncertainty. There is still much work to be done and KidWorks continues to work quickly to address the needs of those they serve.
