Scott Melvin hired as Lead Musician

We are excited to announce that we have hired Scott Melvin as Redeemer’s new Lead Musician!

Scott graciously became Redeemer's Interim Lead Musician in November and has done a wonderful job over the past few months!  In fact, he has done so well that we have enthusiastically offered him the permanent position of our Lead Musician.

Scott is an accomplished musician who has previously served several Orange County churches as their music and choir directors. He is currently the Executive Director of Advancement at Mater Dei High School, but recently served as the Executive Director of Performing Arts and Choral Music. He has worked extensively with choirs and orchestras throughout California and the Western United States. He has conducted choral ensembles and orchestras throughout Italy in some of the world's most remarkable venues including the Sistine Chapel, St. Mark's in Venice, St. Peter's and St. Ignatius in Rome, and the beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.

Scott holds a M.A in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky, two B.M from Chapman University, one in Performance, emphasis in Choral Conducting, and another in Music Education, emphasis in Voice.

He is happily married to his wife Debbie, and has three beautiful daughters, Emmerly, Nola, and Aveline.
