Book Study Group
Format: A book discussion group that will read A Praying Life by Paul E. Miller.
Are you looking for more in your relationship with God whilst existing in a world of physical and electronic distractions? Then take a journey with us as we examine an extraordinary book: A Praying Life and apply the power of prayer in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of our relationship with Jesus and what better way to grow in prayer than in an organized setting where we can extoll ,encourage and support one another? Our group will be meeting for a brief period this Summer and I look forward to meeting with you my fellow travelers for a productive time of prayer, learning and discussion.

Book Study Group
Format: A book discussion group that will read Theosis: Deification in Christian Theology (Princeton Theological Monograph) by Rodney Stark.
2 Peter 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. Deification' refers to the transformation of believers into the likeness of God. Of course, Christian monotheism goes against any literal 'god making' of believers. Deification was an important idea in the early church, though it took a long time for one term to emerge as the standard label for the process. Theologians now use theosis to designate all instances where any idea of taking on God's character or being "divinized" (made divine) occurs. This book is a collection of essays exploring theosis in the context of Greek, Jewish and Christian theology -- though most of the essays are concerned with a Christian understanding of this concept and its scriptural support.
When: A mid-week evening based on availability Roughly 1.5 hours

Men’s Surfing Group
A group of men who regularly surf together
When: When the surf is good/decent

YOUTH MINISTRY
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we are still working on finalizing the Youth Summer Calendar and will be emailing it out to all Redeemer families and posting the events on the Redeemer website in the upcoming week.
